Meet Maia Faddoul (@maiafadd)! She’s an illustrator and designer based in Montreal, Canada using a bold and joyful aesthetic to tell different stories. Her inspiration comes from graphic novels, children’s books, and mid-century modern color palettes. As you can see from some of the portraits she creates, she also takes inspiration from the brave, intelligent, and beautiful women from all around the world. Illustrating portraits are her favorite, she says, as she loves to try to capture the essence of their personalities. She thinks it’s interesting to see someone’s take on another person’s face, because of the story they carry with it. Maia was born in Montreal to Latinx and Arabic immigrant parents, but she is also a native French and Spanish speaker — something she says people are often surprised to find out about her. Her passions are the love of culture and everything that it encapsulates, from visual arts and design to music and folklore. For more aesthetic vibes, she recommends you check out @lacharbonne @annejulie_dudemaine @eleonoraarosio @trevoryj and @bigbudpress.Meet Maia Faddoul (@maiafadd)!
