VICTORIA BECKHAM SS19: “Keep on moving, don’t stop, find your own way to stay,” Soul II Soul’s Keep On Movin’ was the soundtrack (and the motto) to @victoriabeckham’s tenth anniversary show. Yes the time has come, she’s back home in London - a first - and has found her way to stay: really great sleek clothes that we actually want to wear. Angels descended from a white staircase, the ultimate tomboy Stella Tennant led the lineup of strong women in grown up chic pieces that we all want. Waves of shades of baby sky blues ripped through the collection, so pretty in contrast to the blond camel and hot flashes of deep dark reds and shimmers of Midas touch gold. VB knows a good palette - it’s what she refers to as one of her ‘codes.’ Silk satin and lace felt light, not slouchy but relaxed, spilling into structured wide trousers that fell to the ground. Simplicity is inherent in everything she does. The best part were those slender, tight to the leg pants that slit up the bottom of the front and dragged slightly on the floor - so good that she wore them to take her emotional bow. Ten years of pushing forward, of making clothes that have always worked. VB is unbreakable, invincible. Don’t doubt her.
